The Majik House team can boast nearly 150-years’ combined experience in the smart home industry and enjoy an enviable reputation for the design, installation and maintenance of home automation systems, home cinema, lighting design and lighting control, and audio systems.

Majik House was founded in 1998 and today are one of the longest established smart home specialists in the country – it’s fair to say, for your home automation project, home cinema design and installation, you’re in very safe hands with Majik House.

Our team includes smart home technology system designers and installers, and covers the North West of England including Carlisle and Cumbria, Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire, along with a strong record of prestigous home automation projects across the UK and the Isle of Man.




Tim Burrow

Tim is our Managing Director who has been creating smart home technology systems since founding Majik House in 1998.

What would your ideal day at work look like? Final commisioning and a handover of a complete all house project when the client has stayed over and used the systems. What’s the most interesting or satisfying part of your work? Outside lighting, control of windows with blinds and curtains all working in harmony and automatically. What do your usual duties at work involve? Creative problem solving, sourcing new solutions. What’s the one unique quality you bring to the Majik House team? Understanding how things work and are made - it's one of the reasons I set up Majik House! What’s one professional achievement you’re particularly proud of? Throughout all the ups and downs of being in business, having a successful and multi award-winning company that is still growing after 25-years. What’s your one guilty pleasure? AC/DC - always!



Jit Mistry

Jit is the Sales Director at Majik House and has been an integral part of the team for nearly 20 years.

What would your ideal day at work look like? I always love meeting new clients, finding out about their requirements and discussing what can be achieved with a Majik House system. What’s the most exciting / satisfying part of your work? After the consultations, designing and specifying a system, overseeing the installation, it's always satisfying to see the final project come to completion and hand-over to our client. What do your usual duties at work involve? Aside from business development, co-ordinating the installation team on current work schedules, project management and planning new projects. What’s the one unique quality you bring to the Majik House team? I think I bring a calm and methodical approach, finding problem-solving situations and resolving challenges. What’s one professional achievement you’re particularly proud of? Majik House winning three technology design awards for one of our projects. What’s your one guilty pleasure? Testing completed cinema room projects and having volume very loud without being told to turn it down!



Carol Burrow

Carol is our Business Director who has been an essential part of the team since Majik House was founded in 1998.

What would your ideal day at work look like? Team development days when we all have an away day to focus on cementing the team and its strengths through activities. What’s the most interesting or satisfying part of your work? Shaping and coaching the business to our next stage-strategy development. What do your usual duties involve? Managing the finances, overseeing the direction of our marketing, HR and shaping the future of the business. What is the one unique quality you bring to the Majik House team? Previous working in blue chip companies that has enabled me to provide a wider business perspective and set of skills to keep moving the business forward also managing economic downturns. What’s one professional achievement you’re particularly proud of? Bringing our own business vision to reality, being successful in our industry for 25 years, developing a team we are proud of and being able and ready to hand it on to the next generation.



Kris Winder

Kris is the Project and Engineering Manager at Majik House and one of our most experienced network system engineers and installers – you could say he is something of our ‘rack specialist’.

What would your ideal day at work look like? View of Windermere lake outside the window, Sun shining in. Big empty rack in the middle of the room with lots of equipment to fit into it. Cup of tea and biscuits on the side. What’s the most exciting / satisfying part of your work? Wiring up the racks and programming the AV/lighting system. What do your usual duties at work involve? Wiring up the racks and programming as well as overseeing the engineers progress with their jobs. What’s the one unique quality you bring to the Majik House team? Setting the standard for doing things neatly, correctly and always using the right equipment. What’s one professional achievement you’re particularly proud of? A project I had a lot of involvement with in Lytham, Lancashire, which has won multiple awards. What’s your one guilty pleasure? Eating chocolate while watching kids films, with the kids obviously!



Paul Coyles

Paul has been an installation engineer at Majik House for over two decades and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to home automation projects.

What would your ideal day at work look like? Ideal day at work is a handover day with customer, where the whole system is configured as they wanted, and we get to demonstrate to them fully what systems can do. What’s the most exciting / satisfying part of your work? Most satisfying is the set-up or configuration of programming of systems. What do your usual duties at work involve? Usual duties at work are whilst working in customers homes, keeping clean and safe working areas for us and customers, interacting with customers to meet their expectations of the job in hand, and keeping all of this to specific time scheduling. What’s the one unique quality you bring to the Majik House team? My unique skill is, I think, customer interaction and understanding. What’s one professional achievement you’re particularly proud of? I am still immensely proud of The Ark project, and how the whole project turned out and how the customer uses our systems to work absolutely everything in the home. What’s your one guilty pleasure? Guinness!



Diane Wylde

Diane is our Office Manager and has been the backbone of Majik House from the earliest days of the business.

What would your ideal day at work look like? Working in the home office with my dachshund for company. What’s the most satisfying part of your work? Having all timescales and targets met at the end of my working day. What do your usual duties at work involve? I deal with all aspects of administration, the booking keeping and accounts and ensure the office side of the business runs smoothly. What’s the one unique quality you bring to the Majik House team? My level head! What’s one professional achievement you’re particularly proud of? To have been part of a very successful family run company for the last 20 years or so. What’s your one guilty pleasure? Galaxy chocolate!



Autumn Burrow

Autumn is our Operations Manager who brings youth and enthusiasm her role at Majik House.

What would your ideal day at work look like? Going to see potential jobs to quote, going to see progress on-site at ongoing jobs and liaising with our clients. hat’s the most exciting or satisfying part of your work? Solving any problems, seeing projects come to completion and having very happy clients! What do your usual duties at work involve? As well as being a primary client contact and business development activities, I get involved in ordering equipment and ensuring our engineers have everything they need for each day's work. What’s the one unique quality you bring to the Majik House team? I am always told that I have an inquisitive mind! What’s one professional achievement you’re particularly proud of? Seeing my first bespoke home cinema room project through to completion. What’s your one guilty pleasure? Sour sweets!



Zac Antony

Since joining Majik House, Zac has accumulated a huge amount of experience and knowledge, and is now a crucial part of our programming and installation team.

What would your ideal day at work look like? Everything goes to plan! Thankfully, that's most days! What’s the most exciting / satisfying part of your work? It has to be the variety of work and doing something different every day. What do your usual duties at work involve? Problem solving. I'm also reliably informed that I'm very neat and tidy! What’s the one unique quality you bring to the Majik House team? Diligence, I suppose, and like everyone else being able to work to the best of my abilities What’s one professional achievement you’re particularly proud of? Passing the Control4 PCNA [Professional Certified Network Administrator] qualification. It was hard work but also enjoyable and very satisfying to achieve. What’s your one guilty pleasure? Going to raves..!



Ryan Ferguson

Ryan is our newest member of the Majik House team and is accumulating valuable knowledge everyday.

What would your ideal day at work look like? Starting a new rack, carefully working out the optimum place for each device and deciding how it will be wired so that it is functional yet aesthetically pleasing. What’s the most interesting part of your work? Taking a rack to site and seeing it go from a shell to a fully integrated, fully commissioned rack. What do your usual duties at work involve? My usual duties range fitting multi-room audio systems to fully kitting-out some of the best bespoke home cinemas and programming them. Building racks from scratch and implementing a network into a home is always really satisfying.. What’s the one unique quality you bring to the Majik House team? I believe my unique quality is being patient and having a keen eye for doing things right. I mean, you either have to be mad or very patient to sit in the back of a rack for a week whilst you perfect everything! What’s one professional achievement you’re particularly proud of? Passing my Araknis PCNA exam. Networks are something I’d never dealt with until coming to work at Majik House, so it was quite a challenge for me to learn the land of networks but, nonetheless, I really enjoyed doing it. What is your guilty pleasure? Speakers...!
